DNA Testing has increased in popularity over the years due to its aptitude for uncovering the truth of paternity in custody and child support cases.
Alabama MedScreen is passionate about fulfilling our mission to help others who are seeking truth about paternity when it matters most. Your situation is personal and unique, and we realize results given to you will have a profound and lasting impact on you and the people you cherish.
Our DNA tests are accurate and the sample collection process is painless and confidential. Our test results are recognized and accepted in all courts throughout the country, and our professionals at Alabama MedScreen are regularly called upon to provide affidavits, depositions, and expert witness testimonies on DNA testing in court proceedings.
Alabama MedScreen makes the DNA sample collection process easy and convenient for you!
We will either arrange an appointment at our collection facility or have a DNA sample collector come to you on a mobile basis. We can also make arrangements to come to the hospital as early as the day of birth of the child.
The collection process takes less than 30 minutes, including any paperwork that needs to be sent with your DNA sample! When you arrive at your appointment your identification will be verified and photocopied by the sample collector. You will also have your photograph taken, your thumbprint scanned, and you will need to sign a consent form for the performance of the DNA test.
The sample collector will collect your DNA samples using buccal swabs. These are cotton-like swabs that he or she will rub against the inside of your cheek to "collect" loose cheek cells. The collector will then send all the DNA samples and paperwork directly to our laboratory.
We will report your results back to you between 7-10 business days.
